Southern California Patient Safety Collaborative (SCPSC)
The Southern California Patient Safety Collaborative (SCPSC) provides a forum for peer-to-peer learning, networking and sharing of best practices to improve patient safety and clinical outcomes in three tracks:
- Hospital-acquired infections, surgical care, and sepsis
- Facility-acquired pressure ulcers
- Perinatal safety
In January 2010, HASC's SCPSC partnered with Anthem Blue Cross to form Patient Safety First . . . a
California Partnership for Health. The new statewide initiative provides opportunities for hospitals to improve medical care, reduce costs and establish a best practice model for hospitals across the state. The initiative also encourages cross-setting quality improvement collaborations with skilled nursing facilities and other providers of long term care.
