| The
Arizona Long-Term Care Technology Symposium
Although technology has long been a fixture in
the acute health care system, applications for the long-term care
(LTC) health system have historically been sparse. Dynamic advancements
in technology designed specifically to meet the needs of the frail
elderly offer the potential for both enhanced client quality of
life and a more cost-effective LTC healthcare delivery system.
Technological advances offer solutions for the
current challenges of an inadequate labor pool and a fixed reimbursement
system. The program will feature four practical presentations
as well as a panel discussion on future trends and directions.
