AZ Magazine Names HSAG a Top Place to Work for Women
For the second time in two years, AZ Magazine has named Health Services Advisory Group, Inc., one of the top 25 Workplaces for Women in Arizona. HSAG was selected out of a pool of 70 applications for the 2011 campaign.
"Narrowing the list to the top 25 was not easy," the magazine said. "All of the companies had strengths in a number of areas—percentage of women in management, efforts to move women into leadership roles, and policies to help working women care for their families."
It was not surprising, the editors said, that the top 25 workplaces tend to be companies that nurture and give care, such as health care providers. The health care provider category included At Home Solutions, Homewatch Caregivers, Hospice of the Valley, John C. Lincoln Health Network, and Sonora Quest Laboratories. HSAG was listed under its own category: Medical Business Administration.
"Health Services Advisory Group," the magazine said, "has had the strong influence of women in high executive positions for over 30 years."

Magazine selects HSAG as one of top 25 workplaces for women in Arizona
HSAG—News Release
Arizona Women magazine has named HSAG one of the top 25 workplaces for women in its February 2008 issue, acknowledging the company for its large percentage of women in high-ranking positions and its benefits, such as tuition reimbursement, a stock ownership program, and pet health care. The magazine helped readers learn about HSAG in relation to other companies ranked highly as good places for women to work.
"The company’s organizational structure speaks to the dominance of women in key positions," according to the magazine’s write-up about HSAG. "The CEO is a woman. Three of the four vice presidents are women. All four executive directors who oversee Medicaid quality review are women."
Marlene Glomski, manager of human resources, helped put together HSAG’s application for the recognition after Katy Fitzgerald, human resources specialist, spotted the invitation to apply in
The Arizona Republic.
"A lot of people can’t believe HSAG does what it does for employees," said Glomski. "I’m hearing it more and more every day. We’re getting our name out in the community."
