HSAG leverages state-of-the art techniques in data science, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) to systematically assess the impact of healthcare programs and policies across the entire spectrum of care delivery, integrating administrative, clinical, patient and provider experience, and operational data to evaluate access, quality, outcomes, equity, and cost.
Who we serve
HSAG provides data science services to three types of clients:
- Government clients, such as state Medicaid agencies and public health departments
- Private clients, such as large provider groups and commercial health plans
- Federal agencies, such as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

HSAG has been offering analytic services since 1998.
HSAG’s Data Science & Advanced Analytics (DSAA) Division was established in 2007 to expand HSAG’s analytic capabilities and advance its mission to improve healthcare quality through rigorous, data-driven insight. Since its inception, DSAA has evolved alongside the rapidly changing healthcare and analytics landscapes, continuously adopting innovative methodologies to support increasingly complex evaluations. In 2016, DSAA formally integrated AI technologies (including machine learning, natural language processing, and predictive analytics) into its analytic framework, strengthening its ability to identify patterns; anticipate outcomes; and deliver scalable, high-impact insights that support quality improvement, program evaluation, and policy decision-making across the healthcare system. As of 2026, HSAG is moving forward with client-facing AI solutions that unleash the power of our client’s data.
Extensive Experience
HSAG’s DSAA Division has evaluated millions of surveys and billions of healthcare claims over the past two decades to evaluate the performance of providers, healthcare facilities, health plans, state Medicaid agencies, and federal programs.
