Chief Data Officer & Vice President, Data Science & Advanced Analytics
Mr. Laios is the chief data officer (CDO) for HSAG, a position to which he brings more than 20 years of experience leading healthcare data analysis and informatics contracts for a wide array of customers, including federal, state, and commercial customers. In his role as CDO, he actively oversees an area of approximately 90 HSAG employees, consisting of healthcare analysts, statisticians, and researchers who support more than 100 active analytic projects. During his tenure at HSAG, Mr. Laios has served as the program or project director for multiple federal and state contracts related to informatics, data analytics, healthcare research, program evaluation, performance measure calculation, and survey assessments. He also serves as HSAG's primary survey contact with the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), anld he oversees HSAG's state and corporate analytic activities, including the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS®) survey administration and analytic activities, performance measure calculations and reporting, quality rating and pay-for-performance systems, encounter data validation, and network adequacy assessments. Mr. Laios holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in healthcare management and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in clinical epidemiology.
