The goals of the Improving Pain Assessment (IPA) QIA for facilities in the Network 7 service area are to decrease CROWNWeb responses to:

  • "No documentation of pain assessment, and no reason is given" to zero in 10 percent.
  • "Pain assessment documented as positive using a standardized tool. A follow-up plan is not documented and no reason given" by 10 percent from the 2016 baseline.

Focus facilities will participate in the Pain Assessment QIA through September 30, 2018.

      Use this monthly tracking tool to document Improving Pain Assessment QIA data for reporting progress/status to the Network monthly by the 5th of the following month.
