Building on the content of previous webinars (collecting REAL data, stratifying measures and identifying disparities), this webinar will demonstrate how hospitals can design and implement interventions to address the disparities identified. A compelling case study will be shared by Kaiser Permanente, the inaugural recipient of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Health Equity Award.

Joe Betancourt, MD, MPH, Founder and Director of The Disparities Solutions Center at Massachusetts General Hospital will share lessons learned from a dozen years of the Disparities Leadership Program—an executive development program aimed at helping healthcare leaders achieve equity in quality and safety.
Berny Gould, RN, MNA, Senior Director of Quality, Hospital Oversight and Equitable Care at Kaiser Permanente will share about Kaiser’s health equity initiatives which earned an inaugural CMS Health Equity Award in February 2018.
