Falls Prevention Awareness Day—Monday, September 23, 2019

Falls are the leading cause of injury deaths among older adults and can be prevented.1 The first day of the fall season each year is considered Falls Prevention Awareness Day (FPAD). The National Council on Aging (NCOA), sponsored by the Fall Prevention Center of Excellence, provides ideas and resources to raise awareness and save lives from falls.
