Tuesday, August 23, 2016, 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. ET.

Do you feel like your Limited English Proficient (LEP) patient engagement needs a boost?  Are your efforts consistently meeting the good outcomes they were intended to accomplish?  When it comes to compliance, you provide interpreters. Now what?  If these questions have gone through your mind, this webinar is for you!

Through a variety of illustrations, documented evidence, and media, this webinar will provide a definition of “language access” and the role it plays in effective healthcare, its value to achieve safety, and its return on investment. Additionally, language access will be illustrated as a distinct feature of cultural competency. Finally, the paramount issue of quality of language access services will be addressed.

This webinar is part of a series of quarterly patient engagement webinars hosted by Health Services Advisory Group in partnership with the Patient Engagement Learning Center of the Ohio Patient-Centered Primary Care Collaborative (OPCPCC).  The webinar will begin with a half-hour presentation at 12:15 p.m. and will conclude with a 15-minute Q&A session. Natasha Curtis, MA, CHI™ of Lingua Nexus, LLC and Lilly Cavanaugh, MBA, CPM  of the Ohio Latino Affairs Commission will serve as the presenters.  Participation is limited to the first 150 who register.
