Did you know that according to the 2016 American Community Survey, 14.6 percent of adults ages 65 and older have a hearing impairment and 6.6 percent have a vision impairment? People who identify as deaf, or who are hard-of-hearing, blind, or visually impaired are also more likely to have other conditions including diabetes, cardiovascular health issues, and depression. Join us to learn how to best serve these and all patients in primary care and other ambulatory settings. The call format will include presentations by a patient, a provider, and HSAG Executive Director, Padma Taggarse, MMI, MBA, followed by an open discussion. Please come prepared to ask questions and share your experiences.
