This calculator can help nursing homes identify specific areas of improvement for the composite score, which is comprised of 13 long-stay quality measures. Nursing homes can enter their current numerators and denominators to calculate their composite score. Next, they can enter estimated numerators to see how the composite score can be lowered. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services composite score goal is 6 percent or less.
