Natural Language Processing for Improved Patient Health Literacy

Researchers have found that natural language processing (NLP) assists patients to better navigate patient portals. A study published in the Journal of Medical Internet Research showed that selective use of NPL to overcome medical jargon barriers can help patients better engage with health information on portals.
