Dog Ownership Associated with Improved Heart Health

In a study of 3.4 million adults ages 40 to 80 in Sweden, researchers found that dog owners had a 33 percent lower risk of death and an 11 percent reduced risk of cardiovascular disease as compared to non-dog owners during the 12-year study.
