Antimicrobial Resistance and Use (Web on Demand)

Nurse Talking with Senior Patient Medical Worker

The National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) is used for healthcare facility reporting of adverse events, primarily healthcare associated infections. NHSN educational activities are designed to educate healthcare personnel on how to measure, validate, interpret, and respond to data relevant to healthcare associated infections.

This activity will explain the Antibiotic Use and Resistance module and further discuss antibiotic stewardship, analyzing antimicrobial resistance data in NHSN, and discuss the standardized antimicrobial administration ratio (SAAR).
