To All Patients and Providers:
On behalf of the HSAG team, our thoughts and prayers are with all Florida, Texas, Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands residents, as well as our Georgia, North and South Carolina, and Louisiana neighbors, and the many individuals and businesses impacted by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria and their aftermath.
We are providing updates to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) detailing the devastation to the regions’ healthcare infrastructure, especially as the situation impacts those who require life-sustaining treatments such as dialysis. HSAG recognizes the road to recovery will have many challenges, and we remain committed to supporting you and other healthcare providers throughout the impacted regions. The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) and other federal, state, and local agencies; first responders; and the U.S. military have deployed equipment, supplies, and personnel to the affected areas and remain ready to support those in need. HSAG is collaborating with CMS to address possible exceptions in meeting your quality reporting and data submission deadlines, as necessary.
Our greatest gratitude goes to the physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals, emergency management personnel, and local volunteers who are going above and beyond to keep their communities healthy and safe at this time. We stand behind you and are ready to assist you.
